Auction Terms

Cataloged horses that are represented as sound at any time while in the auction ring will be covered by the auction company’s soundness guarantee.

Checks will be held for 72 hours to ensure this guarantee, then mailed to the consigner.

Buyers have until noon on Tuesday following the sale to reject any horse that does not meet the soundness guarantee.

The final decision of soundness is up to the digression of the sale manger; any vet checks should be done prior to the purchase of the horse.

In the event the sale manager and buyer agree the horse does not meet the soundness guarantee the horse must be returned to Dexter Livestock Commission at the buyer's expense and picked up by the seller.

All horses sold in the open/after catalog sale will be sold as is.

All horses must be POed before leaving the auction ring.

Consignment No-Show Policy
If a consigned horse fails to appear at the scheduled sale, the following terms apply:

Forfeiture of Consignment Fee: The original consignment fee will not be refunded.

Additional Penalty: An additional charge of $150.00 will be assessed.

Exemption Clause: This penalty may be waived upon submission of a valid veterinary statement documenting the reason for the horse’s absence.
Catalog Fee: $125.00

Full body conformation shots or flattering action shots are accepted. Upload limit of three photos. Management reserves the right to not post low quality pictures.
All horses consigned to the catalog will receive advertising prior to sale day. If a video is submitted, it must be uploaded as a YouTube link. If not, the sale company will charge a $50 fee to upload it on your behalf.
